Beatrix ends up spending the summer alone in a house. Unobserved for the first time, she begins to let go of societal expectations and allows herself to follow her impulses. She is confronted with herself, her intimacy but also her insecurities. We see Beatrix stumbling between boredom, amusement and loneliness accompanied by the unfolding drama of everyday situations. BEATRIX shows banal, somnambulistic acts such as eating, drinking, cleaning, jumping, bathing, reclining, talking, and looking. And then it begins all over again.
